Fully integrated battery
This bike is built for many carefree kilometers. That’s why we’ve chosen a large internal Bosch battery (750 Wh), fully integrated into the Santos frame. It’s well protected from external elements and contributes to a clean, stable design.
The battery is removed from the side, leaving space on top for water bottles or other accessories.
Powerful Bosch mid-motor
The LowStep is equipped with a powerful Bosch mid-drive motor that delivers smooth pedaling and excellent torque—especially noticeable at lower speeds. Climbing tough hills becomes effortless.
You won’t see them, but when the LowStep is really being put to work, you might hear them: the steel gears inside the motor. The same ones used in Bosch’s cargo motors—built for extra power and an exceptionally long lifespan.
Reliable Rohloff hub
This LowStep features an internal Rohloff gear system integrated into the rear wheel. Paired with the Santos carbon beltdrive, it creates a low-maintenance and highly durable drivetrain.
If you choose electronic shifting, the Bosch mid-drive motor and Rohloff system work together to deliver even smoother gear changes.
Great range and extensive service network
The battery on this LowStep has a large capacity, ensuring you can tackle plenty of adventures together. How far will it take you? That depends on several factors. Riding uphill into a strong headwind? The range will be shorter than when cruising over smooth asphalt on your way to work.
With the advanced Bosch App, you can estimate your range in advance and adjust the motor settings to maximize your distance.

Testing is key
Extensive testing is important. Santos offers several E-bikes with integrated batteries, and many Santos models can also be electrified with external systems from Neodrives or Pendix.
